What are the benefits of PSAT??
- It identifies their academic strengths and weaknesses early in high school, when there's plenty of time to improve before college.
- It identifies strengths so students can make a more informed decision when selecting AP and DC course for their junior and senior year.
- 11th graders who take the PSAT could qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program and a chance to win recognition and money for college.
- A benefit to taking the PSAT is that students can opt into the Student Search Service and connect to over $300 million in scholarships.
- For 10th graders, it is a good way to practice for taking it as an 11th grader which could qualify them for the PSAT National Merit Scholarship Program.
- PSAT is good practice for the actual SAT that is an important part of college applications.
