Medina Valley ISD announces athletic director and head football coach

(Medina Valley ISD — March 6, 2023) — Medina Valley ISD fills two key athletics positions. 

Coach Doug Bull is the new athletic director. He previously was assistant athletic director at Corpus Christi ISD and has held various director, leadership and coaching positions throughout his career, including being the strength and conditioning director at Northern State University. 

"I am honored and excited to be part of the team that is in place to help navigate the growth of Medina Valley ISD while continuing to build on its great academic traditions," said Coach Bull.

Coach Andrew Britt, who was named MVHS Head Football Coach, previously was the special teams coordinator, wide receivers coach and head freshman coach at MVHS. In his previous coaching positions at Northside ISD, he has helped guide his teams to bi-district and area championships as well as being named regional semifinalist. He also has middle school coaching experience. 

In his new position, Coach Britt hopes to help his athletes develop in the sport and academically. He wants them to carry the lesson they will learn under his coaching throughout life.

“Along with building lasting relationships, my staff and I will bring a championship mindset in everything we do, driven by an unwavering amount of energy to our daily routines and an unbeatable work ethic,” said Coach Britt. “I take tremendous pride in what it means to be a Panther and care deeply about our traditions as well as our future.”
