Medina Valley High School Principal Tanner Lange shares the success of a student-led program in the latest edition of the Texas Study, a Texas Association of Secondary School Principals publication.
In Culture of Excellence: Student-Led, Lange states the Student Leadership Class started three years ago. Through the program, 30 students undergo leadership development, working on leadership theory, group dynamics, project management and more.
The group also leads pep-rallies, attend extracurricular activities to show support, and participate in other activities. They also helped lead district convocation this year.
"The culture at Medina Valley High School has transformed over the last few years because of the students," Lange said in the article. "The students have a unified commitment to create an all-inclusive environment where students can thrive not only academically but also in extracurricular activities and citizenship."
