Medina Valley Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the Medina Valley High School stadium turf project.

The project will offer athletes, band students and others utilizing the field an extra layer of safety, helping lessen sports injuries. The project will be funded by left over funds from Bond 2019.

Beyond safety, artificial turf provides less upkeep and maintenance. It also is more reliable as the field has had increased activity due to district growth.

The project is expected to take about five to seven months to complete. Medina Valley High School athletic and fine arts activities will be moved to another location during construction. The high school’s graduation on May 29 will be relocated to the Freeman Coliseum.
