Patient Care Technician students discover passion for healthcare Patient Care Technician Show Transcript we're here today at the emergency room for a patient care technician class we're touching up on our skills learning more on what it's like to be in an actual real world environment and working in healthcare I joined PCT because I have a interest in medicine and I plan to pursue medicine in my future and so I could get better hands-on experience and learn as much as I could blood draws and capillary sticks today pretty much going over the basic of like our skills we've been going over in class BCT really helps you decide and see what you want to do in the medical field so I joined the class to see what I really liked and what piqued my interest most even if you don't want to become a surgeon or nurse it it allows you to get into that realm of healthcare and get a better understanding of it you're a younger kid science it's going to help you get a better understanding and like open up a lot more opportunities as into like what you want to do career-wise in the future I hope to come a doctor in physical therapy and this class has really helped me show that that's something I really want to do
